Investor story: Margaret Spencer-Bower

Canterbury based Margaret-Spencer Bower is one of PMG’s long term investors. With a position in many of PMG’s funds, Margaret is a testament to why PMG values building long-standing, trusted relationships with our investors, and the importance of the people aspect in providing investors with reassurance that their wealth is in good hands.

“I was always interested in commercial property. But after realising that I didn’t have the expertise to do it myself, and after having some bad experiences with investing, I did a huge amount of due diligence, said Margaret.

“From my first experience with PMG, they delivered what they said and more. They were very upfront with communication, and I felt a sense of trust. I love that I can ring them up and they always have time to answer my questions.”

Margaret has a farming background and decided to look into diversifying her investment off-farm to ensure an alternative, regular income.

“I’ve been an investor in PMG for roughly 12 years and the Direct Office Fund since inception, and my journey has been very rewarding. The initial allure was an attractive return coupled with good tenants and honest management. PMG stood out due to their honesty and professionalism, and I value their investor-centric approach,” says Margaret.

As a seasoned investor, Margaret understands the long-term nature of property investing and says that PMG’s communication and hands-on management has provided her with a sense of security.

“In my opinion, adopting a long-term perspective is crucial when it comes to investment growth, and I trust that with PMG my investment is in good hands through different peaks and throughs in the market,” says Margaret.
