PMG welcomes PTS Logistics at prime Palmerston North industrial facility

PMG is delighted to announce PTS Logistics as the new tenant at 31 El Prado Drive, Milson, Palmerston North.

The property is owned by Pacific Property Fund Limited (the Fund), and the tenancy marks a key milestone for the Fund, where the PMG property team worked diligently to secure a successful operator to occupy the space.

According to PMG Asset Manager Matt White, the process goes beyond the purely transactional nature of securing the tenant, through to finding a tenant that the team can build a long-standing relationship with to ensure they can provide ongoing support and collaboration to meet the tenant’s needs.

“For us, the outcome is to have good quality long-term tenants - and that’s a relationship that starts right at the beginning. It’s all about staying close to our tenants, not just at the commencement of their lease but throughout their journey with us,” says Matt.

“We worked with PTS throughout the leasing process to scope their needs for the physical space, but also to understand their business and long-term requirements to ensure we can work together to meet those needs.”

Sharing a mutual support for NZ Inc

The partnership between PTS and PMG seems natural, with both companies’ shared history of supporting New Zealand people, businesses and communities, and a collaborative, relationship-based approach to business.

PTS Logistics has a history dating back to 1976, growing from a small family-owned business transporting vehicles across the Manawatu region, to a national transport, logistics and warehousing business transporting vehicles, tractors, and machinery across the country. The logistics giant is still proudly Kiwi-owned and operated, and pride themselves on providing specialised transportation and warehousing solutions across New Zealand.

With its 30-year legacy, PMG strives to act as a partner in growth for tenants like PTS, anticipating needs and identifying opportunities as and where needed to accommodate growth or change within their tenants’ businesses.

“At PMG, we strive to be a property partner of choice by developing long-term mutually beneficial relationships with tenants, as well as looking at ways to foster continual business improvement,” says Jamie Reid, PMG’s GM Property.

“We also know that great relationships aren’t built in a day, great relationships are built daily. Having people on the ground that can connect locally is something we are continually building upon and working within the communities of the properties we manage is incredibly important,” says Jamie.

Location, location, location

For PTS, location is key when it comes to the efficiency of their business. The move to 31 El Prado Drive consolidates its presence in a strategic industrial zone, reinforcing its commitment to growth and efficiency. The premium industrial facility is situated in the thriving Manawatu Industrial Park and features a large, 23,495 sqm open-plan warehouse to maximise productivity and streamline operations.

In addition to the attractiveness of the space, Palmerston North is situated at the heart of the Te Utanganui lower North Island transport hub, including the proposed Kiwirail Palmerston North Rail Depot.

“The central position of this property, in proximity to the planned transport hub and airport, as well as key routes, aligns perfectly with our operational needs. It's an ideal base for our nationwide fleet and supports our commitment to efficient, timely transportation services,” says Ray Roberts, CEO of PTS Logistics.

“We're excited to welcome PTS Logistics into our tenant community and we're committed to being an integral part of their continued growth,” says Jamie.
